Day 12: New Years

Ahh final challenge, I can't believe I actually went through with the challenge and finished it. For the last day I just played with glitter. I wore a purple nail polish and topped with off with a gold sparkly top. And on my left hand I made '2014' with gold beads (boy they are messy to work with). Nothing extravagant for this challenge, just a simple mani to welcome 2014 before I head out to celebrate.

And I hope to post at least one blogpost each week, I guess thats my resolution.
Also I want to thank nailed it nz and a girl with some clothes for creating this challenge. I loved every bit of it. Happy New Years everyone! Hope this year bring you all the joy and prosperity!

Day 11: Christmas Sparkle

I actually had zero idea for this challenge. But I decided to paint my nails red and green for the last time and top it off with a sparkly top coat. Then while I was doing my nails I decided to draw a christmas tree with sparkly silver polish on my middle and ring finger. I also added a rhinestone on the top of the tree.

I overdid red and green nail polish this month, I don't think I'll use them for quite a while haha.

Day 10: Santa and Friends

I hope everyone is having amazing time. For this theme today, I decided to draw elf, santa and reindeer on my left hand, and elf's and santa's coats on left. I added red and green paint with sparkles on the rest of my nails. I quite like them, hope you do too.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Day 9: Christmas Decorations

For this challenge, I did not look at any picture or anything but just went on to draw whatever came to mind. On my left hand, I just drew some light like I did on my Tihar Nails. I was going to draw a tree on one of them because it's obviously the biggest decoration but decided not to since we had a whole challenge dedicated for Christmas tree.  On my right hand, however, I decided to put different decorations related to christmas. Staring off with stars on my thumb, an ornament on my pointer finger, a wreath in the middle finger, stocking on my ring finger and finishing off with a bow on my pinky.
I can't believe we just have three more challenge left.

Day 8: Snow (Snowmen & Snowflakes)

I was enjoying some Lindt truffles other day and I noticed a snowman and some snowflakes on the cover and immediately remember this challenge coming up. I then saved this wrapper and used it as a inspiration today. What I planned was to draw snowmen on both my ring finger and draw snowflakes on remaining of my nails. BUT I kind of got bored after I drew one snowflake and then just rubbished rest of the nails (if that make sense). It's just one of those lazy days I guess! Here is the picture.

I am quite proud of my snowmen with hats and sort of a brush in their hand though. xoxo

Day 7: Inspired by a Christmas Movie

Today is 15th December which means today is the 7th challenge of this 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge.

For this Challenge, I chose the movie 'elf' as it is one of my favorite christmas movies. Basically all I did was copy this picture and tried to recreate parts of it in my nails. On my pinky, I drew his hat, and then I drew his coat on my ring finger. I continued painting the elf on my middle finger where I drew his legs. On my pointer finger, I kind of drew the silhouette of New York City and wrote NYC on the bottom of my nails. Finally on my thumb I wrote "elf" and added some color with orange nail polish.

 Hope you like the nails!
P.S. I really LOVED and wanted to keep the designs of my left hand from my previous challenge, 6th challenge: Santa's Workshop and list, so I only did this on my left hand.

Day 6: Santa's Workshop and List

Ahh after the not so great nail day last challenge, this one turned out good. I think. I literally tried to recreate parts of this picture I googled. Starting from my thumb is the sign for North Pole. Then Santa's gift sack on my pointer finger and his workshop in the middle finger. I drew his sleigh with presents on my ring finger finishing off with presents on my pinky. Notice the sky-ish background with snow on ground, it's my favorite design at the moment.

Anyways I tried to create a Nice and Naughty list on my left hand. It didn't come out as good but it I am still happy with my nails today.Halfway done with the challenge but still loving it, keeps me busy :)

Day 5: Inspired by a Christmas Carol/ Song

This challenge is getting hard.. For this challenge, I drew drums in my nails inspired by the song little drummer boy. I haven't heard the original but  I love the cover version of this song by pentatonix. If you haven't heard it yet, check it out here
As for nails, here is mine.

This is my least favorite nail art I did so far in this challenge. I was really disoriented when I did this because I had just woken up from a nap which I shouldn't have taken it in the first place anyways. I drew the drums inspired by this picture below but it looks nothing like it.

Then I added some musical notes in there because I did not like how it looked but that made it worse. I decided to keep it until next challenge because I need to study for my final on Thursday! xoxo

Day 4: Christmas Where You Live

This challenge was particularly hard to do because I really had to think about it. I live in Rhode Island, smallest state of US and no it's not an Island. Anyways I decided to got for a really simple winter wonderland theme because we usually have a white christmas here. I just painted my nails light blue, and painted the tips white. It does not have to be perfect because its just snow on a ground, then i painted a tree-like siloutte then put in some white dots for a snow. Finally I used a festive glittery topcoat to seal off the design.

If you are a Rhode Islander, you know about a big blue bug on the side of highway which is decorated as a reindeer every christmas. I couldn't resist incorporating it on my nails, and also I can't believe I actually did it. It was refreshing to see light colors on my nails other than green and red today haha.
It's a Rhode Islandah Christmas!

Day 3: Christmas Candy

When I was thinking about what to paint on my nails today, I didn't have much ideas except Candy cane. I just painted my nails green and red and drew a candy cane and little peppermint candies. It's a little hectic trying to get these done every other day especially because its the last week of classes and finals are just around the corner. But I am loving it nonetheless.
Also notice I used glittery topcoat on the nails without design to spice it up a bit.

Day 2: Wrapping Paper/ Presents

I made it! Day 2 of christmas challenge and so far so good! So I drew little gift boxes on my ring finger. The middle finger and pointer finger are just plain gift warp with ribbons around it. Then I went with simple christmas themed wrapping paper pattern on my thumb and pinky. It literally took longer to dry my nails than paint them haha. Anyways hope you like it!

Day 1: Christmas Tree

I just decided to do the challenge just today so I didn't have much time to think about the designs. But it came out good I think. Thanks google!

Let me know which tree design you like!
