My journey through the himalayas, hills and plains of Nepal!

First of all let me tell you that I am such a fail. I was going to blog regularly during the trip, and then I decided to record each place I went instead of each day but here I just went completely awol for weeks. I had started to write one last week but I didn't finish it.  So here it is: A brief post on my trip of a lifetime.

Here is my nails for the trip which lasted me less about 4 day and my nails were gross for the remainder of the time haha!

This is a rough recreation of Swayambhunath Stupa (aka Monkey Temple), which is one of the holiest site for Buddhist around the world and also one of the World Heritage Site in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Happy Tihar!

It's TIHAR aka Diwali, and of course I HAVE to do my nails again for this. 

Soo left have is the lights we put all over our house in Tihar and special occasions and "Diya" on the thumb. And for right hand, we have "cow" for Gai puja on my thumb. Then I have firecrackers in index finger, ain't no Tihar without "pataka". Then I have "saptarangi tika", "sayapatri ko phool", and "makhamali ko phool" in my middle finger symbolising "bhaitika". Finally I have Laxmi's footsteps in ring finger and dog in pinky finger for "kukur puja".

HAPPY DASHAIN!

Happy Dashain to my fellow Nepalese people out there! I hope you have a great time. On this occasion, I tried to create a little something on my nails to represent the biggest festival of Nepal.

Starting on my left hand, I wrote "Dashain" in Nepali in my thumb, a simple representation of Goddess Durga on my pointer finger, Kites on my middle finger, 'Tika and Jamara' on my ring finger and finally a traditional swing on my pinky. Each of these are symbolic to Dashain. On my other hand, I created the four symbols of playing card (no Dashain is complete without a game of 'Taas') and finally a Nepali Flag on my right thumb to finish the look.
