Happy Tihar!

It's TIHAR aka Diwali, and of course I HAVE to do my nails again for this. 

Soo left have is the lights we put all over our house in Tihar and special occasions and "Diya" on the thumb. And for right hand, we have "cow" for Gai puja on my thumb. Then I have firecrackers in index finger, ain't no Tihar without "pataka". Then I have "saptarangi tika", "sayapatri ko phool", and "makhamali ko phool" in my middle finger symbolising "bhaitika". Finally I have Laxmi's footsteps in ring finger and dog in pinky finger for "kukur puja".

Happy Halloween!

Amidst all the assignments and tests coming up, I manage to squeeze some time to do my nails (they were horribly chipped). I googled some simple halloween designs so I could join in the festivities and chose the easiest (literally) nail designs. Hope you like them!

HAPPY DASHAIN!

Happy Dashain to my fellow Nepalese people out there! I hope you have a great time. On this occasion, I tried to create a little something on my nails to represent the biggest festival of Nepal.

Starting on my left hand, I wrote "Dashain" in Nepali in my thumb, a simple representation of Goddess Durga on my pointer finger, Kites on my middle finger, 'Tika and Jamara' on my ring finger and finally a traditional swing on my pinky. Each of these are symbolic to Dashain. On my other hand, I created the four symbols of playing card (no Dashain is complete without a game of 'Taas') and finally a Nepali Flag on my right thumb to finish the look.

First Blog

I am a college student with big dreams but sometimes studying can be boring.. only sometimes ;) 

After contemplating about making a blog for the longest time, I finally started one. I am not sure what I will be sharing here yet but it will be about the randomness in my life. I am not a big writer so I am signing off by sharing one of very first nail art I did.
